There are few things I find more enjoyable than reading a good book. Whether it be in a coffee shop, in my own bed, on the beach… or even on a train. I grew up an hour outside of New York City and often took the train when traveling there for the day with my family. Once I entered high school, I took the train to school…back and forth each day. Granted, I was only at that high school for two years before transferring, but I’d estimate that in those two years, I took the train close to 800 times.
Fast forward to 2010 and I find myself back on a train, commuting to work… first only for 25 minute rides and then eventually 80 minute rides… until I finally packed up and moved into NYC. Of course, this then resulted in subway rides.
And now, fast forward again to 2015 and I find myself constantly traveling on Amtrak to visit my family & friends in Rhode Island and Connecticut. As I’m sure you can tell, the train is my favorite mode of travel.
You might be wondering why am I telling you all of this. Because during those rides, I read hundreds of books. I never quite thought to share my reviews on books before now. To be honest, I was only inspired because I got pissed off tonight when browsing through the Barnes & Noble website and every review had a f*#$ing spoiler!
I hope with this new series (which I’m sure will soon become my favorite), I put several books on your radar and make your search for your next page turner a little easier.
Currently reading: “The Boston Girl” by Anita Diamant & ironically, “The Girl On The Train” by Paula Hawkins.
