Oh, hells yes.
While I was living on the west coast, a gal from San Diego (Jayla Siciliano) appeared on Shark Tank. At the time, everyone in the city was going wild that a local San Diegan entrepreneur was about to be on national TV. Her business idea? An all-natural bottled wine spritzer. Siciliano touted that Bon Affair (that’s the name) is the perfect combination of vice meets virtue. Why’s that? Well, it’s made with California wine, sparkling water, electrolytes, zero added sugar…and it has half the calories of a normal glass of wine. Basically, a wine option for someone trying to live a healthier lifestyle.
Why am I freaking out and writing about this on The New England Life? It goes back a few years….
I got my first taste at The Skinny Confidential‘s book launch party back in 2014. The book author / hostess had set up a DIY mimosa bar using Suja Juice and Bon Affair bubbly. The result? A healthy cocktail, perfect for an outdoor picnic, a weekend at the beach, a wedding reception, or even just an afterwork drink.
Since then, I moved to Boston and while I checked in on the brand via their Facebook page occasionally, I did a double take when I noticed that they officially became bi-coastal. While not sold in brick and mortar shops, Bon Affair can now ship to both Massachusetts and New Hampshire!
Want to make your own mimosa bar after you’ve order a bottle (or 10?!) of Bon Affair? Check out this video with Jayla herself!
