Ever since I moved from San Diego to Boston earlier this year, I’ve been convinced that I brought the warm weather back with me. While New Englanders are still talking about last year’s epic snowfall, I’ve only experienced sunshine since being back (with an occasional rain shower). So much so, that I experienced a Christmas first… an afternoon spent on the beach.
Yes, you read that right. On Christmas Day in New England, it was so warm, it called for a walk on the beach.
Earlier that morning, I woke up, opened gifts and ate breakfast with my family in Connecticut before hopping in my fiance’s car and heading to Rhode Island to see his mom and sister. Once we arrived in the Ocean State, we packed up the car (& pup) and made our way to Watch Hill.
Of course, when I spotted the cutest jeep, decked out with a Christmas wreath & a surfboard on top, sitting below Taylor Swift’s house, with the Watch Hill Lighthouse in the distance, I couldn’t help but snap a quick photo.
What did you do this year for the unusually warm holidays?
