This upcoming weekend I’m heading to Charleston, SC (expect a Weekend Escape guide!). I haven’t been back in 3 1/2 years and am literally counting down the minutes until I’m back in my favorite southern city. While I know these next few days are going to be epic, here’s what I’ve been up to the past few weeks:
Bike Riding Along the Charles River
This past Saturday’s weather was epic. Sunny, mid-70s, no humidity… perfect to gear up for fall. To take advantage of the amazing weather, my friends and I rented the Hubway city bikes and rode around the Charles River. We started in Charlestown, made our way past TD Garden, hopped on the Charles River Esplanade, rode past hundreds of sail boats, crossed the Harvard Bridge and eventually found ourselves back in Charlestown.
Primark Opened in Downtown Crossing
Said to be a mix of Spain’s Zara, Sweden’s H&M and LA’s Forever 21, Primark has opened their first U.S. location in Boston…. steps away from where I work. I stopped by on opening day and while I didn’t purchase anything, I am very worried about my wallet. From there super affordable sweaters to their home goods section, I know I’ll be back soon.
My Last Meal of Summer
Yes, I know summer isn’ officially over until September 23, but for me, it’s marked by Labor Day weekend. My fiance’s mom treated us to a delicious lobster dinner by the ocean, the perfect meal to end the last few absurdly fun season.
Neighborhood Sunsets
I stepped outside my apartment for a moment the other evening and was awarded with this stunning sunset. I’m so grateful that I live in such a great place. Boston is really an amazing city.
