I think we can all agree that when wedding season hits, your bank account is in a bit of danger.
I’m the type of person that realizes the wedding I’m attending is a week away… and therefore, I open up my closet to see what we’re working with. Not gonna lie.. I usually find myself sifting through dresses I’ve worn 2093209 times and frantically telling myself that I have nothing to wear.
Now, in reality… I most likely (probably 100%) have something I can wear.. but c’mon… its a wedding & when the invitation says ‘black tie optional’… I’m not going to don a dress from last year that I wore to every outdoor outing.
BUT — like I said — wedding season + need for a dress = very very worried about money in da bank.
The solution?
Renting a dress.
Because, let’s be honest… when buying a fancy schmancy dress… the chances of you wearing it again is pretty slim. So why not just rent a gown for the weekend?
Well, that’s exactly what I did. But rather than take a guess at my sizing & praying that a dress I picked to rent actually looked good… I went with one of my favorite Boston businesses – Best Dressed.
Their concept is pretty simple.
You show up to their showroom during the hours they’re open. You try on any dress they have available. And once you’ve found your favorite, it’s wrapped up in a garment bag and you’re on your way.
My favorite part? Actually getting to try the dress on. I’m weird when it comes to dresses & no joke – probably tried on 30 when I showed up at Best Dressed. But that’s what is so amazing about it… I got to try them ALL on. And then bounce with the one that looked best 🙂
