I’m not trying to piss any locals off, but one thing I’ve noticed since moving to Boston this spring is this:
When people ask me how I like it here, I respond with, “I seriously couldn’t be happier. This city is amazing. It’s so beautiful, historic, clean… And compared to the west coast, public transportation is a godsend.” Most times, I’m met with a somewhat blank stare and a “meh… wait until winter.”
Well folks, just as a reminder, winter is just one of the four seasons. Yes, I know, I know, you just had the worst winter of all time. I grew up and lived in the northeast for 20+ years, I get it. Snow is fun at first, but then it sucks.
But back to my original intention for this post…
I just want to remind you all, as a newcomer to Boston, please don’t take this amazing city for granted. Yes, I said it. It’s amazing here. Maybe more so in the spring, summer and fall, but I think you get it.
