Remember that meal you had with friends that one night years ago, where you spent hours at the table together, eating, drinking, and re-telling stories that had the entire group cracking up? And not even just cracking up, but straight up tear inducing laughter?
It’s moments like those, where you realize that food has the power to bring people together. And you recognize the importance of taking time to put away your phone, forget what’s going on around you, and just talk & listen to your friends and family.
Recently, I had the chance to sit down with the Dietz & Watson team at one of my favorite Boston restaurants, Doretta Taverna. Both Dietz & Watson and Doretta also believe that we need to reclaim mealtime in today’s busy world and encourage families, friends, and loved ones to Choose the Table.
After a scrumptious meal that was served by Chef Michael Schlow and his team, I was inspired to put together my own al fresco dinner, especially with the amazing August weather we’ve been experiencing. And of course, I’d want to share the meal with friends & family.
With a quick stop at my local grocery store, I picked up several Dietz & Watson ingredients needed to make my own charcuterie board, choosing a few meats & cheeses that were used during my meal at Doretta.
