So….. I’m really bad at staying consistent with these “Life Update” posts. I promise I’ll get better (I hope…but lets be real, I probably won’t). It’s actually pretty embarassing because I started my previous “Life Update” post with almost the same intro.
But, while I’m working on ze blog, figured I’d bang one of these out anyways…so, here it goes.
RPR Launches
Ha, that’s a pretty big one! This past October, myself and Regan Cleminson launched R Public Relations (RPR for short). We’ve been hustling our a$$es off these past few months, which probably explains the lack of blog updates. I’m not going to lie – starting this business was very scary, but I cannot even begin to list the reasons why I love owning and running RPR alongside Regan. Oooo, and we just got a new fancy shmancy logo, which we just added to our website this morning! You’ll notice the “R” is part of a chat bubble – since every.single.thing.we.do. is communication-based.
House Renovations
WOOHOO! We are about 95% done with our house renovations. Jeff and I tore out the old kitchen, living room, and other living room/now office (I have no idea what to call it). For one of our RPR home decor e-commerce clients, we snapped a few photos at my house, so you’ll get a quick glimpse of the changes. But, expect an entire blog post dedicated to before & after shots. I can NOT wait to share them.
The Boston Globe
OK, so this was very exciting. I work in public relations & part of my job is to always always be reading the local & national newspapers. Therefore, when my two worlds (news & Instagram) collided…well, let’s just say I was jumping up and down like a crazy woman when The Boston Globe reached out to feature me in their “My Instagram” series. You can read up on that here.
Weekends in Vermont
Last year, winter in Vermont was absolutely horrendous. Hardly any snow hit the mountains and everyone was very nervous for the businesses up there that are so dependent on the influx of people coming to town to ski and snowboard. Luckily, Vermont has been hit with a ton of snow (woohoo!) and Jeff, Rory and I have found ourselves heading up there way more than we were last year.
