Something happened this past week that was so momentous…I could shout it from the rooftops! What is it, you ask? Well, the temperature dropped about 15 degrees, leaves started falling, apple cider popped up at the grocery story & pumpkins started appearing on stoops. YES, FALL IS HERE.
You weren’t expecting that, right?
Well, I haven’t experienced a true New England fall in three years. While living in San Diego, the average weather consisted of sun every.single.day and a temp of 80 degrees (but no complaints here!). So yes, when I finally had the chance to don my favorite boots and fall jacket, I gladly yanked it out of my closest for use.
Anyhow, now that I got that off my chest. Here’s a few of my favorite things since my weekend in Charleston, SC:
Martha’s Vineyard
I spent an entire weekend on Martha’s Vineyard with my fiance for my birthday. To read the full recap, click here! One of my favorite parts was hanging with the fluffy alpacas.
Halloween Latte Art
My favorite client and coffee shop, Ogawa Coffee, is now serving their cappuccinos with the cutest Halloween latte art design! Of course, I had to snap a few photos of both the jack o’ lantern and ghost while I was there (which is typically once a day – really, their coffee is that good).
Evening Strolls
I’ve started to walk home from work now that it isn’t extremely hot and humid. In doing so, I walk by and enjoy parts of the city that I normally only get a quick glimpse of on my bus commute to work. My route home is on the Freedom Trail, so there’s always a ton to see. This week, I stopped to take a quick photo of the Old State House, one of Boston’s many historic buildings still in tact.
Leaves!
OK, maybe my previous excitement was a bit premature. In my neighborhood, some of the leaves have started to fall, but as of right now, the colors haven’t changed just yet! I’m hoping when I escape to Vermont next week, we’ll be treated with the beautiful foliage.
Lastly, one of my closest friends from college has just started her own burger blog. Yes, it’s exactly like it sounds. A blog about the best burgers she comes across south of the Mason Dixon line. To check it out, click here. Oh, and give her Facebook page a “like” too!
